Large portrait of a 13-year-old boy (Franck le Gondec de Penlan born on February 3, 1872). Pastel mounted on a frame signed and dated lower right: Seibert 1885. Seibert, portrait painter born in Gross-Umstadt, Germany, born April 14, 1823 and died in the same city on January 19, 1914. He worked in Brussels, Paris and in Italy. The museum of Toulon retains a portrait of Admiral Roze. (Ref Bénézit) Original frame gilded with gold leaf of very good quality and in perfect condition. Vintage bubbled glass.
